Introduction to Perfume Led to True Love: My Collection

I've always loved a good perfume, but for the longest time, I never thought too deeply about them. I usually went for my Glossier You or my Victoria's Secret Bare and call it a day. Those two were my go-to "signatures," and honestly, they still feel like and represent versions of me.

But then I fell down the rabbit hole. I was introduced to scents in a different way and since I started learning more about fragrance families, notes, and laying—and suddenly, perfume became something deeper. Not just something I wore, but something that matched a mood, a memory, a version of myself. Since then, my collection has grown in a way that feels intentional and...honestly a bit romantic.

My Heart Belongs to Woodsy, Smoky, Amber Scents

If you know me, you know this is my lane. There's something grounding about a dark, cozy, slightly smoky fragrance. I now claim Maison Margiela Replica Jazz Club as my forever signature scent.

It transports me somewhere else—a place I'd rather be. I love a dark, dimly lit jazz club where you can smell how strong the drinks are, you can feel how special it is in the air. This perfume is that.

A few other staples in my ambery/musky/woodsy universe:

Glossier You Doux (a new favorite!)

Glossier You Rêve (definitely in my top 5 favorite perfumes ever)

Snif Me (you would not regret this, trust)

And one of the coolest, most unique versions of a woodsy scent I own? Hové Parfumeur's Diverti in powder form. It's vintage, soft, and absolutely magical.

The Florals I Sometimes Reach For (And Love)

Caroline Herrera's Good Girl Eau de Parfum (one of the first perfumes I fell in love with)

Glossier You Fleur (light florals, one of my favorite florals)

My Surprising Love for Fruity + Gourmand

I don't typically love super sweet or super fruity scents—but these changed my mind and I've completely fallen in love with them:

Vilhelm Parfumerie Mango Skin (absolutely love this scent, doesn't have that artificial mango scent)

Snif's Naughty Nonna (absolutely adore, 10/10 recommendation)

Snif Hazel Split (probably a top favorite, this scent is out of this world)

The Strange Ones I Kind of Love

Every collection needs a couple of wild cards.

Heretic Nosferatu—a weird, ethereal floral that I still can't fully describe. I say it smells like cucumber.

Sabrina Carpenter Me Espresso—sweet, warm, gourmand, and gives "elevated auntie" in the best possible way.

And Then There Are the Perfumes I Make Myself

Last November, right before my big surgery, I started experimenting with blending my own fragrances at home. The one I was most excited about?

An espresso martini perfume.

Rich, dark, warm, and smooth.

I haven't perfected it yet, but making fragrance has become this quiet little project for me—like bottling pieces of memory and mood.

Perfume has become one of the ways I express myself—what I love, where I've been, and it changes with who I am becoming.

Perfumes Pictured But Not Mentioned (still adore each and every one)

No question here, I hope you find the scent you're looking for and I hope I could help!
